Annual Public Meeting
It’s that time of year again - East Midlands Development Agency (emda) is holding its Annual Public Meeting (APM) on Friday 29th September at East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
The APM, which will take place between 10.30am – 12.30pm, will be hosted by Jon Sopel, presenter of the Politics Show on BBC One and a lead presenter on News 24.
The focus will be on emda’s performance over the last 12 months, with presentations from emda’s Chairman, Dr Bryan Jackson and Chief Executive Jeff Moore.
The meeting will incorporate a video, allowing delegates to gain an insight to emda and put faces to names of those involved in the work being highlighted. Executive Directors introduce their teams and give a glimpse behind the scenes of some of the projects emda supports.A question and answer session will give those with an interest in the continuing growth and development of the East Midlands the opportunity to put their questions about the Agency and its work, to Bryan and Jeff.
There will also be a Regional Economic Strategy (RES) exhibition taking place immediately after the APM, giving attendees the chance to find out more about the new Strategy, which was launched in July 2006. A wide range of public and private sector partners will be exhibiting, not to mention children from three schools with their interpretations of the Strategy themes, as well as some live exhibitor demonstrations.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for networking, giving those with an interest in boosting the region’s economy the chance to understand the role of emda in achieving the vision of a flourishing region.
The APM will also see the formal publication of the 2005/06 Annual Report, which will be available on the day.
