Event celebrates women in business

women in businessThe University of Northampton’s Business School’s successful Business4Women programme, in association with the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA), has organised the event entitled ‘Women into Enterprise showcase: Inspiring Confidence’.

The University’s Business4Women programme has been established since 2004. It is a free programme that helps women to become entrepreneurs, created and managed by women who have similar lifestyle pressures to those wanting to start up in business.

Since it started, Business4Women has seen 165 potential female entrepreneurs come through their doors in courses held in Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Welland and Leicestershire, amongst others.

The aim of the day is not only to showcase women’s achievements but also to inspire further confidence through two interactive, motivating workshops.

Janice Watkins, Business4Women Project Manager, commented:“This is a fantastic opportunity for local business women who have just set up a business or would like to start one to expand their skills, network and meet like minded people.”

Availability is limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. To book or for further information, please contact Janice on 01604 892976 or email: janice.watkins@northampton.ac.uk.
