Strike at the tax office
HM Revenue & Customs has warned that a strike by the Public and Commercial Services Union scheduled for January 31 could affect the processing of tax returns on that day. HMRC is advising taxpayers to get their tax returns in as soon as possible. Where it proves impossible to file on January 31 due to industrial action, then returns filed on February 1 will be treated as filed on time
